Homemade date squares from Fat Back and Molasses

Recipe Ingredients for Date Squares

1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups oats
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups dates

Recipe Directions for Date Squares

  1. Cook dates in water in microwave till mushy.

  2. Combine other ingredients till crumbly. Place half of the crumbly mixture in an 9 X 13 pan.

  3. Cover with date mixture.

  4. Cover with rest of crumbly mixture.

  5. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
