Recipe Ingredients for Dashing Dish's Homemade "Fit" Granola Bars

1 cup Fiber One Original Cereal
1 cup puffed wheat cereal
1 cup Kashi Go Lean Crisp - Cinnamon
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup whipped peanut butter
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
5 packets stevia

Recipe Directions for Dashing Dish's Homemade "Fit" Granola Bars

  1. Measure out 1 cup of each cereal, totaling 3 cups of cereal. Pour cereal int a medium sized bowl.

  2. Place the cereal and oats in a large ziplock bag and lightly crush until the cereal is slightly ground - Or, put them all in a blender and process a bit.

  3. Pour cereal back into the bowl, and add the honey, the peanut butter, and sweetener (I actually used 1 tbsp liquid stevia here, but that doesn't log well).

  4. Stir until everything is just mixed together.

  5. Add the chocolate chips (Of course you could leave this out or replace it with something else, like dried fruit!)

  6. Mix everything together until everything is well mixed. I even ended up using my hands to mix everything up really well!

  7. Spray a 913 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour granola mixture in pan. Press granola mixture until you reach a desired thickness. I personally wanted ?bigger? bars, so I spread my mixture out pretty thin. *Note: It?s OK of the bars don?t spread out over the whole pan!Preheat oven to 375 (next time try 350), and bake for 25 minutes (I pulled mine out at about 20 minutes and they were DONE, I'm letting them cool because I don't want them to burn by putting them back into the oven) Remove from oven and cut into 12 even bars with a spatula. Place back into the oven for another 15 minutes for ?chewy? granola bars, or turn off oven and let bars sit in the oven while it cools down, (for up to an hour) for a more ?crunchy? granola bar!
