Brownies made using pureed prune- they are really good! From this blog post: http://www.lizziemariecuisine.com/2011/02/recipe-moist-and-fudgy-brownies-with.htmlI reduced the sugar from the original 1/2 c to 1/4 c, so if you prefer sweeter brownies, you can add mores sugar.

Recipe Ingredients for Dark, Plumy Brownies

8 ounces semisweet chocolate
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup prunes
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
0.33 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Dark, Plumy Brownies

  1. Heat oven to 325ºF.

  2. Spray an 8- X 8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

  3. In large heatproof bowl, melt chocolate with oil over simmering water.

  4. Whisk in sugar and dried plum purée until mixed; whisk in eggs and vanilla.

  5. Fold in flour and salt just until blended; fold in walnuts.

  6. Scrape batter into prepared pan, spreading it evenly.

  7. Bake about 30 minutes or until a cake tester inserted into the brownies comes out clean.

  8. Cool in pan at least 10 minutes; remove from pan and cut into 2-inch squares.
