Recipe Ingredients for Dandelion Toast

6 hard boiled eggs, cold
2 T butter
2 T flour
1 t salt
1 t black pepper
2 cups milk
3 slices bread, toasted

Recipe Directions for Dandelion Toast

  1. In a heavy sauce pan melt butter, add flour,salt and pepper and whisk until a paste is formed, add milk and continue to cook until thickened remove from heat and cover.

  2. Boil eggs and refrigerate over night is best, remove the yolks, coursely chop the whites and put in the sauce pan with the gravy, push the yolks through a wire strainer and set aside.

  3. Toast bread and place on serving plates, cover with gravy mixture, top with the yolk dust and serve.
