Bangladeshi Recipe, Moshur dal boiled with turmeric, mixed with sauteed onion and garlic in vegetable oil.

Recipe Ingredients for Dal

1/2 cups red lentil
1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 small onions, chopped
5 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Dal

  1. Add dal, turmeric and salt to water and allow it to cook in medium heat. Stir occasionally.

  2. When the dal becomes soft stir it regorously for 5 to 10 minutes. Stop heating.

  3. Saute chopped onions ang garlic in vegetable oil in a large frypan and pour the dal mix over it.
