my version of a spicy indian dip or side dish great with bread, naan, or corn chips.

Recipe Ingredients for Dahl.

1/2 cup lentils
2 cups of water
2 sprays oil
1/2 onion
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp cumin
3 tsp coriander seed
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder

Recipe Directions for Dahl.

  1. Boil .5 cup green brown lentils with 2 cups of water for 30 minutes or until soft.

  2. lightly fry with 2 sprays oil and a bit of water, onion and garlic for 2 minutes, then add cumin, coriander, turmeric and chilli until fragrant and onion is cooked.

  3. Drain lentils, add to spice mix and mash.
