plain home made dahi, of partly skimmed milk

Recipe Ingredients for Dahi

10 oz milk, partly skimmed
1 tbsp yoghurt, sour, plain

Recipe Directions for Dahi

  1. bring milk to a boil, cool to about 35 degree C.

  2. stir in the yoghurt, cover and leave to set for about 8 hours. (in warm climates, like that of chennai, india, 2 hours would do)

  3. do not shake container during the setting process.

  4. dahi is made.

  5. this dahi can be used as culture to make the next batch of dahi.
