Makes 12 servings

Same recipe, but yields 12 slices - 1 slice=1serving. Also uses whole wheat flour, but can be substituted for white flour.

Recipe Ingredients for Dad's Pizza Dough - 12 slices

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
7 g active dry yeast (1 packet)
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup warm water

Recipe Directions for Dad's Pizza Dough - 12 slices

  1. In large mixing bowl, empty one packet yeast.

  2. Pour in the water - should be warm, not hot - and let the yeast disolve a little. Mix to disolve completely.

  3. Add 1/2 cup flour and mix thoroughly.

  4. Add oil, salt and up to 2 more cups flour. Hot or humid days will require less flour than cold ones.

  5. Mix in flour about 1/2 cup at a time until dough is only slightly sticky. Careful not to handle dough to much or it won't raise.

  6. In another large bowl, lightly grease the bottom and side with Crisco.

  7. Place formed dough first one side then the other into the greased bowl.

  8. Place 1 cup water in the microwave for 1 minute.

  9. After the microwave stops, push the water cup to the back and place the bowl with dough in the microwave. Cover with a paper towel.

  10. Let raise for 1 hour.

  11. Dough can be kept in microwave up to 2 hours, but should be refrigerated if longer. Can be refrigerated up to 2 days.
