Delicious, healthy, lean, yummy Superbowl tradition. Cook in crock pot on high, 4-6 hours, on Superbowl Sunday only.

Recipe Ingredients for Dad's Famous Chili (Suzanne's Version)

16 oz tomatoes
12 oz salsa
1 cup diced chilies
12 oz barbecue sauce
1 onion
2 green bell pepper
10 garlic cloves
2 lbs Ground Turkey, 93% Lean
2 lbs lean beef
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil

Recipe Directions for Dad's Famous Chili (Suzanne's Version)

  1. -Sear beef before adding to crock pot.

  2. -Cook and drain turkey

  3. -Add all meats to crock pot and add 1 can of crushed tomatoes (16 oz), 1 jar of salsa, 1 cup diced chilies, and 1 jar of bbq sauce.

  4. -Coat green bell pepper, pasilla pepper (recipe wouldn't let me add pasilla chile, so I had to list 2 green peppers) and onion and garlic with grapeseed oil and broil until black and charred on the outside.

  5. -Rough chop all vegetables in food processor and add to crock pot

  6. -Add any other dry spices you want. I used chipotle-smoked crushed peppers.
