Tasty, gooey, crunchy...All the best things in an apple crisp, just like my dad made for me growing up. Serve warm with low fat ice cream on the side!

Recipe Ingredients for Dad's Apple Crisp

6 cups rice crispies
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup flour
10 (small) apples
1 tsp cinnamon
8 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Dad's Apple Crisp

  1. Combine corn flakes, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and dash salt.

  2. Cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs: set aside.

  3. Peel, core, and slice apples.

  4. Put about 1/2 of apples in 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and sprinkle extra cinnamon on to taste.

  5. Place remaining apples in dish. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over the top.

  6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until done. May serve with ice cream.
