Yummy beef stew made with spelt flour and without potatoes or corn products.

Recipe Ingredients for Cyndee's Wheat Free Beef Stew

2 lbs sirloin steak
2 onions
3 celery stalks
1 1/2 cups rutabaga
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
10 oz portabella mushrooms
3 tbsp garlic
6 cups beef broth
3 tbsp spelt flour
2 tbsp arrowroot
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sea salt

Recipe Directions for Cyndee's Wheat Free Beef Stew

  1. Cut sirloin into bite size pieces, put into a bowl, season with salt and coat with spelt flour

  2. Chop veggies into big bite size chunks.

  3. pour olive oil into bige stew pot and heat on med high add chopped garlic to oil and stir for 1 minute. Add beef. stir until beef is browned.

  4. add the arrowroot to the beef broth and add to stew pot. add the veggies to the stew pot. bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.

  5. season to taste
