Recipe Ingredients for Curry Chicken Jamaican Style

15 oz chicken
1 tsp olive oil
1 red onion
1 green bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp tarragon
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp corn starch

Recipe Directions for Curry Chicken Jamaican Style

  1. slice chicken breasts into strips and brown in non-stick pan with olive oil.

  2. Slice onion and add to chicken with the garlic. Continue to brown until the onions become transparent.

  3. Add spices and a couple Tablespoons of water to chicken onion and mix until spices are equally distributed. Add the rest of the water and stir thoroughly.

  4. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Slice peppers into 2" pieces. Add to chicken.

  6. Continue to simmer.

  7. Mix cornstarch into 1 Tbsp of water and add to chicken mixture on medium heat. Stir constantly until sauce thickens.

  8. Serve immediately.
