Recipe Ingredients for Curried Winter Vegetables

5 turnips
2 cups carrots
1 large onion
1 cup orange juice
1/8 cup raisins
1 tablespoon ginger root
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
2 cloves garlic
1 green bell pepper
1 large apple
3 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe Directions for Curried Winter Vegetables

Finely chop all ingredients. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Cook the onion, garlic, ginger, and spices on low until the onion is soft. Add the remaining ingredients, cook 15-20 minutes or until the vegetables are soft. Serve hot. Add salt and pepper as desired.
