Recipe Ingredients for Curried Split Pea Soup

4 cups reduced sodium chicken broth or water (105273)
2 cups yellow split peas (16085)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Recipe Directions for Curried Split Pea Soup

Combine broth, peas, onion, and one bay leaf in a soup pot and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low, add curry and simmer for 40 minutes or until the peas are tender. Add salt to taste and simmer a few minutes more.
