A quick side dish with a spicy flavor. Use less cream for a thinner sauce. more for thicker.

Recipe Ingredients for Curried Peas

1 1/2 teaspoons margarine
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1 tomato, chopped
1 1/2 cups frozen peas
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1 salt to taste

Recipe Directions for Curried Peas

  1. Heat margarine in a small skillet, add garlic and then onion, cooking each until browned.

  2. Clear center of pan, add curry powder and garam masala and heat for 30 seconds. Then stir spices into garlic and onion.

  3. Add tomatos and peas, cook for a few minutes until vegetables release fluid. Add cream until sauce reaches desired thickness.
