Adaptation of traditional Indian recipe. Make nice side dish or can be a main dish when served with rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Curried Green Lentils

453 grams, Lentils, Green
6 cups, Water
280 grams, Greek Cooking Sauce
9 grams, Olive Oil
45 grams, Onion, Raw
65 grams, Carrots, Raw
20 grams, Green Curry Paste
3 tsp, Cumin, Ground
5 grams, Garlic, Raw

Recipe Directions for Curried Green Lentils

  1. Heat Olive (or Canola) oil in skillet; add finely diced onion and saute until golden. Add cooking sauce, carrots, curry paste, cumin and other desired spices to skillet and saute until carrots are soft.

  2. Cover lentils with 6 cups of water; bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes (until lentils are soft). When lentls have become tender add the sauce/vegetable blend. Other vegetables (kale, green beans, cilantro, etc.) can also be added at this point. Simmer for another 15 minutes.
