Recipe Ingredients for Curried Chick Peas

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow onion, minced
1 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
455 g Canned Garbanzo beans

Recipe Directions for Curried Chick Peas

  1. Cook onion with olive oil in medium pan until fully cooked. Add spices and mix until onions are fully coated.

  2. Drain liquid out of canned garbanzo beans, rinse beans in can with water until "suds" are gone. Add water into can until beans are covered then add beans and water into pan.

  3. Stir and cook until heated through and liquid has begun to thicken. Smash some of the garbanzo beans using side of spoon or a fork to help thicken. Serve on its own or over rice.
