Recipe Ingredients for Curried Beef Stew

2 med apple, diced
1 med onion, thinly sliced
4 tsp canola oil
3 tsp curry powder
4 tsp sugar
2 tsp ground cumin
2 lb beef stew meat
28 oz can tomatoes, diced
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp beef bouillon powder
1/2 c hot water
2/3 c raisins
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 c red pepper
4 tbsp cold water
2 tbsp cornstarch

Recipe Directions for Curried Beef Stew

  1. Saute apples and onion in the oil in a large frying pan for about 5 minutes.

  2. Add curry, sugar, and cumin. Mix well. Transfer to small bowl.

  3. Brown beef in the same frying pan. Return apple mixture to the frying pan.

  4. Add next eight ingredients. Stir well. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

  5. Add green pepper. Simmer for ten minutes until beef is tender.

  6. Stir water into cornstarch in a small cup. Gradually stir into stew. Heat and stir until boiling and thickened.
