An easy-to-make chickpea stew that tastes great and give you a good amount of protein and fiber. I like to add kale to the stew - but you could alternativly use any green leafy vegetable .

Recipe Ingredients for Cupboard Chickpea & Kale Stew

1/2 cup canned chickpeas , rinsed
1/3 cup tomatoe sauce , (for pasta, premade)
1/2 cup water
1 cup kale

Recipe Directions for Cupboard Chickpea & Kale Stew

  1. Rinse chickpeas . Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan and let boil on stove untill kale is soft. Makes 1 serving

  2. I like to use a tomatoe sauce with basil and garlic- or you could make your own sauce with crushed tomatoes herbs and spices !
