Recipe Ingredients for Cuban Style Pork, slow cooker

1 lb pork butt
3/4 cp fresh orange juice
1/4 cp fresh lime juice
1/4 cp onion
3 cloves garlic
1 t salt
1 t ground pepper
1 t cumin
1/4 cp cilantro, chopped

Recipe Directions for Cuban Style Pork, slow cooker

  1. Cut 3 slashes on top of meat to help liquid absorb.

  2. Mix seasonings and liquids together, add pork and marinate over night.

  3. Place everything in a slow cooker, cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours.

  4. Let cool and shred with 2 forks.

  5. Serve with brown rice, beans, and a green vegetable. Salty, flavorful meats like this are also great served with 1/2 a perfectly ripe banana.

  6. Also great as a Bahn Mi style sandwich filling. Spread 1/4 Baguette with 2 tsp mayo, add filling, top with cilantro, jalapeno slices, and carrot and cucumber slices quickly marinated in sugar, vinegar, and garlic.
