Recipe Ingredients for Cuban Black Beans

16 oz dried black beans
2 bell peppers
1 large onion
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup red wine
2 tbs vinegar
1/2 tbs cumin
1 tbs Mexican oregano or thyme
1 tbs epazote
1/2 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Cuban Black Beans

  1. Soak beans 5 hours or overnight.

  2. Discard water.

  3. Add 6 cups water and boil beans.

  4. Add all ingredients and cook until beans are done.
