Recipe Ingredients for Crustless Towering Apple Pie

1/2 cup flour
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine
5 apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Crustless Towering Apple Pie

  1. To prepare the crumbs, mix the first six ingredients together to form coarse crumbs.

  2. For the filling, mix apple slices with remaining ingredients until they are well coated.

  3. Put the apples in a pie dish so that they all tower towards the center. Pat crumbs down over the apples to form a top crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking for 45 minutes.
