Recipe Ingredients for Crockpot Tangy Chicken


Crockpot mixture:
16 oz Carrots, Baby
1 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions cut into wedges
3 breast, bone and skin removed Chicken, Breast, Meat Only (6 halves)
20 oz Pineapple Chunks in 100% Juice
0.33 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tsp Soup, Chicken Broth Or Bouillon, Dehydrated, Dry
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 tsp Ginger, Ground
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

For thickening mixture:
3 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Crockpot Tangy Chicken

  1. Layer in order carrots, green pepper, onion, and chicken breast in crockpot.

  2. Reserve juice from pineapple. Put pineapples on top of crockpot.

  3. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, chicken bouillon, salt, ground ginger, and garlic powder with reserved pineapple juice. Pour sauce over crockpot mixture.

  4. Cook in crockpot on low for 8 to 9 hours.

  5. Combine cornstarch and water and mix well. Stir well into cooking juices in crockpot. Cook 30 additional minutes or until sauce is thicken, stirring once.
