made with mccormick beef stew seasoning packet (180 calories) Add 22.5 calories per serving when i looked at all of the food labels (including the seasoning packet) for the calories, i came up with 2461 for the whole batch. it makes 10 1 cup servings (246 calories). so it slightly differs from this websites analysis. my recipe is never the same, but pretty close. depending on who's eating it i will put more or less meat or more of certain veggies. this is based off of what i did today. you can improvise and it will always taste good! if im making a big batch, i just double everything

Recipe Ingredients for crockpot beef stew

16 oz mixed vegetables
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
7 red potatoes
1.21 lbs beef stew meat
3 tbsp flour
3 cups water
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for crockpot beef stew

  1. put cut up veggies and frozen veggies in crockpot.

  2. put oil in skillet on medium heat. cover meat in flour. lightly brown meat in skillet on all sides.

  3. add water and seasoning packet to skillet. stir.

  4. put meat/water/seasoning mix into crockpot.

  5. low 6 hours. high 4 hours. until meat is cooked through and veggies cooked (carrots not hard)
