Turkey soup recipe with wild rice and kale

Recipe Ingredients for Crock Pot Turkey and Wild Rice Soup

1 1/2 cup turkey
4 cups water
2 tsp chicken bouillon cube
1/3 cup uncooked wild rice
1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 tsp sage
1 T balsamic vinegar
2 cups kale leaves

Recipe Directions for Crock Pot Turkey and Wild Rice Soup

  1. Pick off the meat from a turkey carcass or turkey leg, and add it to the broth.

  2. Chop up the vegetables (not the kale), and add to the pot. Dump in the wild rice. Add the sage, bouillon cube, and balsamic vinegar. Stir.

  3. Add two heaping handfuls of kale to the pot. It will look like a lot, but will shrivel down nicely while cooking.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-6. The soup is done when the vegetables have reached desired tenderness.
