Recipe Ingredients for Crock Pot Lamb and Barley Stew

1 1/2 lbs lamb stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 1/2 large onion, large dice
1 lbs rutabaga
3 medium carrots, sliced 1/2 ", thick
4 l low sodium chicken broth
1.5 oz Beer
1 cup pearl barley
3/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
3 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley

Recipe Directions for Crock Pot Lamb and Barley Stew

  1. Place the meat, onion, turnips and carrots in the crock pot.

  2. Stir in the broth, beer, barley and all seasonings.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

  4. Stir in the parsley before serving.
