High in fiber, potassium, lots of flavour. I suggest to use low sodium Tomato Sauce,as this is higher in sodium than I like, even with no extra added.

Recipe Ingredients for Crock Pot Chili

150 g Ground Turkey
818 g Extra Lean Ground Beef
3 cups Onion, chopped
2 stalks Celery, chopped
9 cups tomato sauce
156 ml Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Basil
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp sugar
4 cups Kidney Beans, no salt added

Recipe Directions for Crock Pot Chili

  1. Place chopped Onion and Celery in Crock Pot,

  2. Brown ground Turkey and Beef, add to Crock Pot

  3. Add remaining ingredients, Stir

  4. Cook on high 4 - 4 1/2 hours or on low 7-8 hrs

  5. p.s. Before starting recipe, I like to cook the Kidney Beans in a Pressure Cooker for 45 min., instead of using canned, that way there is no added salt, and they are softer.
