Recipe Ingredients for CROCK POT CHICKEN A LA KING

1/4 cup of chopped celery
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1 medium green pepper
3 cups of sliced mushrooms
2 oz of chopped pimientos (drained)
2 boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut in half)
6 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp. of pepper
1 1/2 cups of skim milk
1/4 cup of red wine vinegar

Recipe Directions for CROCK POT CHICKEN A LA KING

  1. 1) Put first 5 ingredients into 3.5L slow cooker. Stir.

  2. 2) Scatter chicken over top.

  3. 3) Combine flour, salt & pepper in saucepan. Stir. Whisk in milk gradually until no lumps remain. Heat and stir until boiling and thickened. Mixture will be quite thick.

  4. 4) Stir in vinegar.

  5. 5) Pour entire mix over chicken. Cover. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 to 4 hours. Stir. If chicken pieces have stuck together, break apart before serving.
