Recipe Ingredients for Crock pot Black Beans and Rice

8 oz black beans, soaked overnight
2 c rice, white
1/8 c tomato, diced
2 tbsp ketchup
1/4 c cheese, cheddar
1/4 c green pepper, chopped
1/4 c potato, chopped
2 c water
1 tsp flour

Recipe Directions for Crock pot Black Beans and Rice

  1. Prepare 1 cup dry rice in 2 cups water. When finished, place in refrigerator.

  2. Spray inside of crock pot to reduce sticking or use a crock pot bag.

  3. Place beans, water, tomato, green pepper, and potato in crockpot. Turn it on and put in ketchup, flour and cheese. Stir.

  4. Cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high.

  5. Add rice a half an hour before eating and turn pot to high.
