Recipe Ingredients for Crock Pot 3 Bean Turkey Chili

16 oz 99% ground turkey breast
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 sweet bell peppers, seeded and chopped
5 sprays olive oil
1 teaspoon olive oil
28 oz canned diced tomatoes
4 oz tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
4 1/2 oz chilies, drained and chopped
15 oz canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
15 1/2 oz canned black beans, rinsed and drained
15 1/2 oz canned red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped for topping
1/2 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar
1/2 cup Plain Greek yogurt

Recipe Directions for Crock Pot 3 Bean Turkey Chili

  1. Brown turkey, peppers and onion in a medium skillet over medium high heat until cooked through.

  2. Drain any fat remaining and transfer to crock pot. Add the beans, chilies, chickpeas, tomatoes, tomato paste, water and spices, mixing well.

  3. Cook on high 6-8 hours.

  4. Garnish with dollop of sour cream, onions, cilantro and cheese and enjoy!
