Lightly sweet, crunchy topping for all desserts. CC Grade: A-

Recipe Ingredients for Crisp

1/8 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup wheat germ
3 tbsp flax seed
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp margarine
1/2 cup oatmeal
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp grape juice, no sugar added

Recipe Directions for Crisp

  1. Melt butter in microwave.

  2. Add to butter all ingredients and mix well, forming clumps.

  3. Add additional butter if mixture too dry.

  4. Bake over top of pie, berries or other fruit mixtures at 350 degrees until crunchy and base is cooked.
