These are from the Betty Crocker cookbook and can be used for basic rolls as well.

Recipe Ingredients for Crescent Rolls

2 1/2 tsp yeast
1 1/2 cups water, warm
1 cup potatoes, mashed, lukewarm
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp salt
7 cups flour

Recipe Directions for Crescent Rolls

  1. Mix all ingredients

  2. Knead about 5 minutes

  3. Place in refrigerator for about 8 hours (no longer than 5 days)

  4. Roll out and create crescent rolls

  5. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes
