1 pound dry split peas
1 1/2 c carrots
1/4 c black beans
1/4 c corn
1 onion
30 ounces low-sodium chicken broth
2 c water
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 c whole milk

Recipe Directions for Creamy Vegetable Split Pea Soup2

  1. Cut all veggies.

  2. Put all ingredients, except the milk, in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 1-2 hours or until the peas break up. Put 2 cups of the finished soup and the 1 C milk into a blender and blend until smooth. Put back into the pot, stir in, and serve.
