Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Ranch Dressing with Flax Low Fat Low Calorie

1/2 cup LowFat Plain Kefir
1 1/2 serving Cottage Cheese, Fat Free, Small Curd, Publix, 1/2 cup
6 tsp Ranch Salad Dressing
6 3/5 grams Milled Flax Seed

Recipe Directions for Creamy Ranch Dressing with Flax Low Fat Low Calorie

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor or blender. Mix thoroughly. Transfer to jar or recycle a dressing bottle.

  2. NOTE: Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing mix: Use either half of one small package or 1.5 Tblsp from large jar.

  3. One Tablespoon milled flax seed.

  4. Optional: Add 1 Tbsp garlic powder or 1 Tbsp thoroughly crushed garlic.

  5. Serving Size 2 Tablespoons

  6. NOTE: Some fat free cottage cheeses have lower sodium than others. Check your labels. The one I used has 320 mg per 1/2 cup.

  7. You can also substitute buttermilk for the Kefir. Kefir has less salt and more protein. It has a few more calories, but well worth the double protein.
