quick, easy and DELICIOUS creamy pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Creamy light pasta with smoked salmon and peas

1 pound dried pasta
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup 2% evaporated milk
2 garlic cloves
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
5 ounces smoked salmon
12 ounces frozen peas

Recipe Directions for Creamy light pasta with smoked salmon and peas

  1. boil pasta w/ salt, add peas at very end before straining. reserve some cooking liquid.

  2. microwave milk, broth & garlic 4 minutes.

  3. make roux in large pot w/ butter and flour over low heat, add milk mixture and parmesean. simmer to combine flavors.

  4. add smoked salmon stir to combine, add salt & pepper as needed.

  5. add pasta w/ peas, stir to combine and add reserved cooking liquid to to make sauce cover all the pasta.
