Mary's Own original recipe You can use regular or turkey Italian Sausage Try adding mushrooms, saute'ed with the garlic and added with the cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Garlicky Italian Sausage

5 links turkey italian sausage
3 cloves garlic, fresh
1 cup half and half cream
1 T light butter
2 T olive oil, extra virgin

Recipe Directions for Creamy Garlicky Italian Sausage

  1. Heat cast iron skillet in 400 degree oven

  2. Add 2 T olive oil to pan and let it heat

  3. Remove casings and slice links into 1/4 inch pieces

  4. Place the sausage slices in the hot oil and return to the oven

  5. Add shavings of garlic

  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes; then turn sausages

  7. Bake for another 3-5 minutes.

  8. Change to broil and brown sausages on one side

  9. Add cream and stir sausages

  10. Broil for another 3-4 minutes.

  11. Stir and serve with Potato Fennel Gratin, sliced tomatoes, and peas. Could use Caprice salad in place of the tomatoes.
