Recipe Ingredients for creamy fish pie

250 g cod
250 g salmon
400 ml skimmed milk
750 g potatos
2 tomatoes
4 spring onions
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp plain flour
100 g peas

Recipe Directions for creamy fish pie

  1. put fish into a pan along with the milk and bring to the boil the simmer for 5 mins.

  2. take pan off heat and lift the fish out but keep the milk in pan. let fish cool.

  3. meanwhile peel potatos and cut into even sized chunks. place them in a pan and cover with water.

  4. bring them to the boil and the turn down the heat. cover with a lid

  5. cook them for 10-15 mins. while they are cooking get a fork and break the fish into flakes.

  6. dice tomatoes and onions

  7. when the potatos are cooked take them off heat, drain them and the put them back into pan.

  8. mash the potatos by adding half the butter and 1 tbsp of milk from the pan.

  9. mix teh flour with a little milk then pour mixture into the rest of the milk. add the rest of the butter and bring to the boil

  10. add the fish, onion, peas and tomatoes. cook for a couple of mins.

  11. pour mixture into an ovenproof dish.

  12. layer the mashed potato on top of the fish and the put dish under grill until top is golden.
