Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Crab Au Gratin

1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup chopped celery
14 1/2 ounces low sodium chicken broth
3/4 cup fat-free half-and-half
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
16 ounces imitation crab meat
1 cup soft breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon canola oil

Recipe Directions for Creamy Crab Au Gratin

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Lightly grease 3-quart saucepan with canola oil.

  3. Cook mushrooms and celery in saucepan for about 4 minutes until celery is tender, stirring constantly.

  4. Add broth, bring to boil, and reduce heat.

  5. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk half-and-half, flour, and hot sauce until smooth.

  6. Stir the flour and half-and-half mixture into the saucepan; bring to boil and stir one minute.

  7. Stir in crab meat.

  8. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until heated through.
