Recipe Ingredients for Creamy chicken stew

3 cup,+chopped+or+diced chicken breasts
1 cup sliced carrots
1 large potato
1 cup frozen green peas
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon Spices Poultry Seasoning
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
2/3 cup skim milk
2/3 cups arborio rice

Recipe Directions for Creamy chicken stew

  1. Chop chicken breast into cubes. Brown in pot and cook-through, set-aside once cooked through.

  2. Chop potatoes and carrots and boil until tender. Add frozen peas in last couple of minues of cooking. Set aside once cooked.

  3. Add butter to large pot. Add chopped onions and heat until clear.

  4. Add flour to butter/onion and make a roux.

  5. Slowly add chicken broth and skim milk. Stir as fluids are added to avoid lumps of flour forming.

  6. Add chicken and vegetables. Add spices.

  7. Heat until liquid thickens and chicken is warmed.

  8. Serve over arborio rice.
