Recipe Ingredients for CREAMY CARAMEL FROSTING

3/4 c butter
2 cups light brown sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c evaporated milk
6 cups powdered sugar

Recipe Directions for CREAMY CARAMEL FROSTING

  1. ï?§Melt butter in saucepan

  2. ï?§Mix in brown sugar and salt and cook over low heat

  3. ï?§Bring to a boil and boil for 4 minutes stirring constantly.

  4. ï?§Remove from heat and add evaporated milk, stirring all the while

  5. ï?§Return to heat and bring to a boil again

  6. ï?§Remove from heat and cool until lukewarm (approximately 20-25 minutes).

  7. ï?§Stir in 10x powdered sugar into mixture and beat until smooth and cool enough to spread until you have a desired consistency, it should still be soupy, but not too soupy.

  8. ï?§It will harden as it cools. Pour onto each layer of cake.

  9. ï?§When you get to the top you may want to add more 10X to the mixture.
