Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Calcium Grits Breakfast

3/4 c Polenta
1 1/2 c skim milk
1 T butter
1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

Recipe Directions for Creamy Calcium Grits Breakfast

  1. Poor milk into rice cooker up to "2" line on brown-rice setting.

  2. Add Polenta and close. Set rice cooker on Porridge setting and walk away.

  3. When rice cooker signals cooking time is over, open, and add cottage cheese, stirring vigorously. Cheese curds should melt into warm mixture.

  4. This can be topped with a poached egg for that extra protein. Add salt and pepper to taste.
