Recipe Ingredients for Creamy Broccoli Casserole

1.5 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
6 cup, chopped Broccoli
0.13 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Pepper, Black
1 serving 2% Milk Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar
4 oz Fat Free Cream Cheese
30 g Light Mayonnaise
0.75 cup, chopped Onions, Spring Or Scallions

Recipe Directions for Creamy Broccoli Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Chop your broccoli and arrange in an even layer in a 11x7 baking dish coated with cooking spray.

  3. Combine milk, flour, salt and pepper in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Cook for about a minute or until thick, stirring constantly.

  4. Remove from heat and add cheddar and cream cheese. Stir until smooth. Stir in the mayo and onion.

  5. Spoon cheese mixture evenly over the broccoli.

  6. Sprinkle with the panko breadcrumbs. Lightly spray the breadcrumbs with cooking spray.

  7. Bake at 375 for about 25 minutes until the mixture begins to bubble and the breadcrumbs start to brown.

  8. Turn the broiler on briefly at the end of cooking to really brown the breadcrumbs.
