Leeks is a side dish for the chops, and the apples are a topping for the portk chop.

Recipe Ingredients for Creamed Leeks & Sauteed Apples (for pork chop recipe)

5 apples, medium
2 tbsp sugar
1 cup heavy cream, fluid
5 leeks
4 tbsp butter, land-o-lakes
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 tspn lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Creamed Leeks & Sauteed Apples (for pork chop recipe)

  1. melt 2 tbsn butter, add apples sliced and saute 10 min. Add sugar sautee 6 more minutes until golden. add broth and 1/3 cup cognac, lemon juice and optional spices cinnomon, allspice, nutmeg. set aside.

  2. melt butter in another pan. Add sliced leeks and saute for 10 min. Add cream and saute until leeks are tender. salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Grill pork chops. Assemble leeks, pork chop on top, and top with apples.
