Creamed Hash Potatoes 4 oz. Serving

Recipe Ingredients for Creamed Hash Potatoes

12 medium potatoes
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons Flour
1/2 pint cream
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups milk
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Creamed Hash Potatoes

  1. Boil potatoes with the skins on in salted water until half done.

  2. While potatoes are cooking make the sauce.

  3. Melt the butter in a double boiler. Mix in flour, cream (or 1 pint half/half), sugar, salt and pepper to taste, a hardy dash of nutmeg, and milk.

  4. Set sauce aside. Peel & grate potatoes. Once potatoes are all grated mix in sauce.

  5. Bake in 2 qt. casserole dish for 45 mins. to 1 hour at 350.

  6. Freezes well. Highly suggest freezing before baking.
