Recipe Ingredients for cream of squash

1 1/2 cup chopped raw Vidalia Onion
2 clove Garlic
4 cup, cubes Squash, Winter, Butternut
6 1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
8 serving Chicken Granulated Bouillon
2 tsp Thyme, Fresh
3 tsp Cayenne
1 dash Pepper, Black
0.67 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat

Recipe Directions for cream of squash

  1. 1.sautee the onion in some olive oil til almost translucent. In a separate pot, combine water with thyme and granulated chicken bouillon.

  2. 2. add the chopped garlic and squash, which is cut into 1 inch cubes to the onions. cook for 2 minutes, constantly stirring.

  3. 3. then add the boiling water mixture to the squash and cook 20 mins, or till the squash is soft.

  4. 4. transfer everything to a blender and puree it.

  5. 5. return to the pot and add the 2/3 cup milk and stir, gently reheat the soup and serve.
