Recipe Ingredients for Cream of Spinach Soup

24 oz spinach leaves, chopped
2 cups water
3 tbsp butter
3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1 1/2 cups half and half
1/2 cup 2% milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Cream of Spinach Soup

  1. Melt butter and mix in flour until smooth.

  2. In separate pan heat water and spinach until spinach is wilted...do not drain.

  3. Add all milks and seasonings to flour mixture.

  4. Heat until desired thickness...do not boil.

  5. Add to spinach mixture.

  6. Heat through and serve.
