1/4 tsp salt
2 tbls butter

1/4 c heavy cream
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Cream Scones

  1. Preheat the oven to 425F.

  2. Grease a cookie sheet, or put a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.

  3. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, and the salt.

  4. Work in the butter, cut into pieces, with your fingertips or a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse meal.

  5. Add the beaten egg and the cream and stir until combined.

  6. Turn out onto a floured board, and knead for about a minute.
