Fanny Farmer recipe with yogurt substituted for cream

Recipe Ingredients for "Cream" Scones

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbs butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup yogurt

Recipe Directions for "Cream" Scones

  1. Preheat oven 425 degrees

  2. Spray cookie sheet or pan with nonfat cooking spray

  3. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Work in butter with pastry blender until resembles coarse meal. Add eggs, yogurt, and stir until blended.

  4. Turn out on a lightly floured surface and knead for about a minute. Pat into 1/4 inch thick circle and score for 16 pieces.

  5. Place in pan/on sheet and bake about 15 minutes or until until toothpick comes out clean
