Cream of mushroom sauce with chicken breasts and brown rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Cream of Mushroom with Chicken

2 1/2 cups chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups 1% milk
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbs kosher salt
1 tbs garlic
2 tbs flour
2 cups mushrooms, chopped
1 cup brown rice

Recipe Directions for Cream of Mushroom with Chicken

  1. Crock Pot Recipe~Rice cooked separate.

  2. On stove, heat up milk, spices and broth, add flour and stir till well incorporated-add to Crock Pot on HIGH. Cut 2 whole chicken breasts into squares, trimming away all bones, skin and fat. Add to the Crock Pot. Cook on High for 2 hours, then place on Low for 3 hours(depending on the thickness of the Chicken, you may want to cook on HIGH for 3 Hours, then place on low for the remainder). About 1 hour from serving, begin cooking brown rice as directed on bag, preferably Organic Brown Rice, which takes longer to cook, but is much healthier.

  3. Place rice on plate, then add Cream of Mushroom and Chicken on top (about 1/2 a cup of each).
