Recipe Ingredients for Cream of Asparagus Soup

1 pound fresh asparagus spears
1 cup onion, chopped
3 cups chicken stock
1 cup potato, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 tsp dried thyme
1 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions for Cream of Asparagus Soup

  1. Chop asparagus into 1/2 - 1 inch pieces

  2. place ingredients into a crock pot on high and wait for 3-4 hours until the soup is ready. Vegetables should be very tender. Place half of the soup in a blender and blend until smooth. Return blended soup to the pot and serve hot or cold.
